The Reincarnated Princess gives a detailed account of the merciful "Guanyin", a Bodhisattva whom adored by the Chinese and helps the needy and relieves the distressed.

Once in an ancient country, the Emperor Miao Chong (Lau Dan) enraged Buddha by destroying all Buddhist temples and he is condemned to have no son but only three daughters. The elder sisters are jealous whereas the youngest sister Miao Shin (Angelina Chiu) is intelligent and kind-hearted. Miao Sin is religious and she abandoned the throne and became a fervent follower of Buddha. Wan Tien Long (Yam Tat Wah) loved Miao Shin at first sight but Shin rejected the material love and devoted to Budda.

Later the evil minister manipulated the country and Shin's father was punished and tortured in the eighteenth hell. Miao Shin strove to fight against the evils and went to the Seven Heavens to obtain the white jade vase to save the people. She had to undergo lots of ordeals to be reincarnated...
