Meteor Garden

Based on the popular Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango, Meteor Garden has become one of Taiwan's most famous idol dramas.
Meteor Garden tells the story of Shan Cai, a poor yet determined girl who attends a school for wealthy and priviledged kids. It is her parents' fervent hope that Shan Cai marry a rich boy who will provide for them all. While there, Shan Cai encounters the school's elite, F4, a group of young men who are revered by the students and teachers and essentially rule the school. Led by Dao Ming Si, the heir of a rich and powerful family, F4 terrorizes those who insult them or get in their way.
Angered by their treatment, Shan Cai eventually challenges F4. This leads to her receiving a red card warning, F4's signature mark, and signals the whole school to bully Shan Cai. Although she is harrassed and chased by everyone she meets, Shan Cai does not give in to F4. This leads Dao Ming Si to form an interest in her, and he eventually demands she become his girlfriend. Unfortunately for him, Shan Cai has already formed a crush on someone else: Hua Zhe Lei, F4 member and Dao Ming Si's buddy! This creates a love triangle which spans throughout the whole drama and is further complicated by the addition of secondary characters and difficult situations. This drama is a "must-see" series as it leaves the audience enthralled with Shan Cai's strength of character and in love with F4's charming good looks.
As a result of Meteor Garden's huge success, a sequel Meteor Garden II was released as well as Meteor Rain, a collection of side stories about F4. Also, due to their group appeal, Jerry, Vic, Ken, and Vaness formed the boy-band singing sensation F4 and have become intensely popular all over Asia.
