Jessica plays the title role, Fan Lai Fa who is married to Joe's character, Sit Ding Shan. According to the legend, Fan Lai Fa is a goddess sent to help the Sit family. Fan Lai Fa has good martial art skills and supernatural powers.

Fan Lei Fa (Jessica Hsuan) was destined to marry the person who can split her destiny ring into two rings. This marriage will bring peace and harmony to both countries; Sai Leung and Dai Thong.

Lei Fa and Ding San met in the forest and fought each other. The ring that Lei Fa was carrying suddenly split into two rings. At that moment, Lei Fa realised Ding Shan was her destined husband. The rings immediately slid down on their fingers and a sudden peace overcame both armies. War ended.

Lei Fa chases after Ding Shan and demands him to marry her. Ding Shan was forced to take Lei Fa back home. In fact, Ding Shan loves his childhood friend, who is also his teacher's daughter, Kam Ding (Cherie). Lei Fa is not welcomed by Ding Shan's family. However Emperor Tong finds Lei Fa is useful in battles, therefore he orders Ding Shan to marry her. Ding Shan later falls in love with Lei Fa, and Kam Ding fights for her love with Ding Shan.
