Dr. Wan Chi Him (Alex Fong) and his wife Rachel's (Kenix Kwok Ho Ying) warm and peaceful life ends with their daughter Yau's (Tse Yuen Ting) sudden passing out, which is later diagnosed as a symptom of her leukemia. One day, when Him and Rachel are walking along the beach, they find a boy getting drowned. Him saves the boy but unfortunately, he is driven away by the tide. When people are starting to worry about him, he suddenly appears at work the next day.

Him goes to work as usual but his acts are weird and abnormal. His colleagues Roy (Raymond Cho Wing Lim) and Pion (Chan Ling Li) begin to suspect that what they see is actually a ghost. Besides, Rachel pays occasional visits to the mortuary. It seems that she is preparing for the funeral of Him.

Yau's operation runs smoothly, but Him is unwearied, and continues to monitor her condition. He finally collapses and faints. Even if Him keeps denying about his own death, he begins to get confused. When he is bemusedly entering Rachel's room, there is a sudden flash of nimbus.
