Introduction
Once a Shanghai beauty with hordes of men chasing after her, Aini (Rosamund Kwan) is now just an ordinary woman married to a boring husband (Francis Ng). Her wealth, like her beauty, has faded away whereas people around her have become richer and richer. Her hairdresser's becomes the last place for Aini to retrieve her past glory. Visiting the young and handsome hairdresser (Wallace Huo) more and more frequently, a long lost passion in Aini is about to explode...
Rosamund Kwan takes on the role of a sexy and seductive lady in Hands in the Hair, which is something she has never done before. The film is a result of cross-strait collaboration - Mainland director Jiang Cheng draws together Hong Kong award-winning actor Francis Ng and Taiwan rising idol Wallace Huo to star in this movie. Off-screen personnel is just as strong as the cast. The film has famous artistic director William Chang who has been collaborating with Wong Kar-wai in most of his films to design the images in Hands in the Hair and Hong Kong director Stanley Kwan serving as the producer.
A film of passion, Hands in the Hair explores the anxiety and despair of a woman in face of the changes in a metropolis, which will touch women and men alike.
