  • Tim - Bobby Auyeung

Tim is a executive forensic officer. He leads and trains his team to different crime scenes to retrieve evidence, do experiments, go to court as a professional and helps the police force solve crimes. He is calm, smart, strong in noticing things and leads his team to cracking numerous cases in which he gains fame.

When Tim was young, his mother was sick. Once, his father accidentally caused Tim's mother to get poisoned to death. Tim remembered that incident and did not forgive his father for a long time.

The same thing happened to him. His wife was paralyzed and had cancer. One day, his wife consumed a cake from Tim and she died, causing Tim to be suspected by his brother-in-law, Sam(Frankie Lam).

Right when Tim had no idea what to do, Tim's father suddenly admitted that he killed his daughter-in-law. Tim realised that something was wrong by lookins at the evidence but still found the real murderer in the end. Tim was touched by his father and asked his father once more at his mother's death. He found out that he had mistaken his father for a long time and forgave him.

  • Leung Siu Yau - Yoyo Mung

Yau is a police inspector. Having lost her mother at a young age, her father took the role as being her mother and was very protective of Yau and her brother.

Workwise, Yau and Tim were partnered together in many cases. Yau's way of solving cases is not letting go any suspects, which was different from Tim's. Tim believed in slowly and precisely examining all evidence to make sure that nobody is wrongly accused. Sometimes, even when Yau is about to press charges, Tim would say tat they were on the wrong track and ask to review the case again, causing Yau to get really mad.

Yau and Sam began dating, but broke up in the end. However, she was glad about her decision and continued with her work. At this time, she bumped into her childhood idol, Jeung. Jeung was lost his ambition after not being able to nab a rape-killer. Yau, in helping to get his ambition back, decides to help Jeung solve the case. With the help of Tim, the real murderer was put into jail.

At the same time, Yau's father was suspected of killing his brother, Hing Jung. Tim and Sam re examined the evidence, and finally found the real murderer. The evidence showed that Yau's father was just a scapegoat. Yoyo was very thankful for what Tim did and slowly started to like him.

  • Sam - Frankie Lam

As a kid, Sam lost his parents and grew up with only his sister in an orphanage. Sam hung out with hooligans, causing him to get a tattoo on his arm and become part of a gang. Once, Sam's sister saved Sam, causing herself to be hurt by other hooligans. From that day onwards, Sam awoke from his dream and went back to being good and studied hard.

When he grew up, Sam became a forensic doctor and writer. Besides work, he does a special voluntary program to help the society.S am and his brother-un-law Tim are also very good friends.

Sam was attracted by Yau's determination and bravery and they began to date. In every one's eyes, they were a perfect match but in the end they broke up peacefully. Afterwards, Sam started to have feelings with the young and cute Ding Ding(Linda Chung). Both of them were made for each other but, unexpectedly, Ding Ding's love for Sam brought her danger.

Lum Ding Ding - Linda Chung

Ding Ding, because of work purposes, met Sam. Later on she realized that the writer that she had admired was Sam and fell in love with him.

In work, Sam always encouraged Ding Ding and Sam was attracted to Ding Ding's happy personality. After being together for awhile, they started to like each other and became a couple.

In the city, numerous murder cases were happening the deaths were similar to Sam's novels. Ding Ding found some evidence that would lead to the murderer, causing her to be in danger.

  • Sum Hong - Raymond Cho

Hong is Yau's subordinate. When Yau became his superior, Hong was unhappy with Yau's way of treating her team. However, after seeing Yau jumping into the water first to arrest a man, it changed his perspective of her and he began to respect her. After cooperating together, Hong also found that Yau was very serious about work, smart, and understands her team mates' feelings.

However, because Yau insisting of having Jeung in his team, Hong was unhappy. Later, after witnessing how Yau changed Jeung, Hong completely changed his perspective on Yoyo. He also hoped that under Yau's leadership, their team would be the cream of the crop.

  • Yvonne - Florence Kwok

Yvonne is also in the forensic department. In the eyes of everybody, she is a happy married woman, having a great relationship with her husband but Yvonne does not want to have children due to an incident that happened in her childhood.

Yvonne's family was poor when she was young. Her parents were forced to let her uncle and aunt to take care of Yvonne's sister. In the end, her sister was abused by them and died. This incident created a dark shadow in her heart. Whenever Yvonne comes across a cause involving child abuse, she would be very agitated and mad at the suspect. Yvonne, because of this, didn't want to have children. Her husband had an affair due to her unwillingness to have children, resulting in a divorce.
