After winning the miss Hong Kong contest at a very young age (17-18) she rose in fame in the entertainment business. Starting in The Link as a maitresse.
Her rumours started to fly when a wealthy businessman spend over a 1.000.000 hong kong dollar to throw her a party for her 18th birthday. For many years she has been rumoured to be "hired" as a lover for this businessman.
Later she became the girlfriend of Nicky Ng. ALthough their relationship seemed stable, they broke up after almost an decade of dating.
Her rumours never left her. Her mom, a gambling addict, was often in debts. Ada lost a lot of her money to pay of her mothers debts (which also fired up the rumours that she sold herself to repay her mothers debts). But one time, she couldn't do it anymore and publicly announced that she has broken all ties with her mother and will never pay one penny of her mothers debts anymore.
Being supported by her vast majority of fans and friends in the showbiz, she overcame her grey past and became one of the most popular leading ladies of TVB.
Because of all her troubles in life, she became a very devoted Christian.
